How to maintain plywood daily?
Most afraid of moisture, stay away from water vapor
Avoid being exposed to water or being sprayed with water for a long time. Try not to use ordinary plywood in kitchens and bathrooms. When the floors and walls become damp, windows should be opened for ventilation in time to prevent them from being stuffy for a long time.
The incisions and sides must be sealed
The cut sections and the sides of the board are most likely to absorb moisture and become moldy. Apply waterproof paint and seal them with edge strips so that water vapor cannot get in and it will be easy to deform and open.
Store and place flat
When stacking, the pads should be placed flat, not leaning against the wall, as this may cause natural warping and deformation; the bottom should be padded off the ground to prevent ground moisture from returning upwards.
Avoid exposure to the sun and excessive temperature differences
Do not expose it to direct sunlight for a long period of time. High temperature exposure will cause the board to lose water, dry out, and degumm. Do not expose it to hot and cold temperatures, which may cause cracking and deformation.
Do not use a wet mop for daily cleaning
Just wipe with a slightly damp rag for cleaning. Do not splash a lot of water or wet wipe for a long time; wipe dry immediately if there are any water stains.
Place heavy objects evenly without placing heavy weight on any single point.
Do not place heavy objects on plywood furniture/boards at a single point for a long time, as this may cause them to dent or bend.
Repair minor damages promptly
If the surface is scratched, paint peels off, or the edge sealing cracks, repaint and seal the edge in time to prevent moisture absorption from the damaged area and mold.
