How to choose good quality plywood?
1. Look at the surface
The board surface is flat and smooth, with no bulges, blisters, glue openings, large areas of insect holes, or cracks;
The color of the entire board is uniform, not mottled, black or moldy.
2. Look at the side section (the most important)
Check whether the number of layers in the cross section is neat and even. The normal numbers are 3, 5, and 7 odd-numbered layers;
There are no missing cores, holes, overlapping cores, or large gaps, and the interior is fully filled and not hollow.
3. Feel the flatness and weigh the weight
A good board is substantial, thick and steady;
When you tap the board lightly, the sound is clear and solid, without any hollow or muffled sound (hollowness means cutting corners).
4. Smell
High-quality boards have only a faint wood smell;
It's pungent, spicy, makes you dizzy, has excessive formaldehyde, and has poor quality glue, so just give up.
5. Look at the environmental protection grade and specifications
For indoor household use, look for E1 grade and above, the first choice for home decoration, wardrobes and cabinets;
The thickness is sufficient, not too thin, and the size is standard 1220×2440mm.
